Content width max 1152 px (sliders and featured images are full width), but has 60px padding.
Rem is 10px.
Full-width content page: Article is 1032 px.
Content/sidebar page: Article is 694 px wide within 814 px Main content.
Widgets are 25% width: 288px wide within 288 Aside.
Space in between columns is 50px.
Media
SIZES
Found in Settings > Media, will automatically create upon upload:
thumb/small 270 x 180 max
med 540 x 360 max
large 720 x 540 max
Secondary page and post Featured Images: Make 1500 x 500px (or 650 if you want them to be interchangeable with home page sliders). Only 276px high shows in “window slice.”
Note: The Featured Image within a post will display as 436 x 327px in the thumbnail of the post on the home page. See more below.
Home page Sliders: Make images 1500 x 650px. The theme sets these to display at 1152 x 500px high with variation as detailed in email correspondence of 12/20/19 2:07am.
MetaSlider within pages: See examples set up. Under Advanced, use Smartcrop if all images are same aspect, use Disabled if a mix. Stick with default theme for now (experienced some conflicts).
Media Replacement (PDFs)
Best, most reliable and foolproof way to update PDFs is:
- solidify file names for each document (that won’t change)
- delete item to be replaced from media library
- upload new file
This replaces the file so you don’t have to re-link every instance and reduces clutter in the media library.
Note: if you do not see your changes when you refresh the public web page, you may need to purge the cache. In the admin, go to WP Engine > General Settings and click the blue button “Purge All Caches.”

Cookie needs to be set in both the open (time delay) and close triggers.
Video Embeds
Need to be wrapped in a div that specifies the aspect ratio, and the iframe must include width and height dimensions, i.e:
- square (694px wide, 694px tall)
- 4×3 (horizontal)
- 16×9 (horizontal) dimensions 694 x 390, but 694 x 406 works best in iPad vertical and 694 x 315 works best in iPad horizontal
- 9×16 (vertical) 450 x 800 looks great on iPad vertical and iPhone both orientations, looks too tall in sidebar of iPad horizontal, 337 x 600 is a good compromise

Posts (3 for home page)
The excerpt field can be used to display brief text on home page. Detail is on the post page itself.
The widget in Front Page Featured Post sidebar is set up to show the three latest posts. These offer an opportunity for keywords. Dates, status (draft), or categories can be manipulated in the future once there are more than three and if you want to save older posts for re-use.
When adding a post, if the title is “marketing catchy,” you may want to craft a better “permalink” (below the title or in the right column depending on which editor you are using) which includes keywords. The Theme SEO meta description below is where you can add keywords that will help this post be found. Additionally, if you don’t want the visible title to scroll to two lines on the home page, you can keep it short and beef up the “title tag” in the SEO section below as well.
Pingbacks/Trackbacks should never be checked; they are a big cause of spam. Your site is not set up to allow comments from the outside world.
If you want to point the post thumbnail to a page different from the post detail, go to Settings > 301 Redirects and add similar to other(s).
